Silicon Forest Tech Summit

The 2025 Silicon Forest Tech Summit showcased emerging tech companies, potential backers, lighting talks with inspiring stories, and featured numerous career opportunities. In only its second year, the summit had over 800 attendees. It reaffirms that Oregon’s tech community is a powerhouse, with 359 establishments in the region, 41,400 employees in the computers and electronics industry, and $12.37 billion in international computers and electronics exports (2020). ​

IDEL Associates co-owner Marcus DelGado had the opportunity to speak at the summit. His lighting talk centered on the basics of space communications and associated scientific research being conducted to address global challenges such as climate change, advanced notice of tropical cyclones, and understanding impacts of atmospheric CO2 levels. His inspiring wisdom and motivational insights left a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.
